NEW! SIMPLY THE BEST by David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd (published September): One of cricket’s great characters tells the stories of the most important, influential, talented and entertaining personalities he has come across in 60 years of the game. From Don Bradman and Ian Botham to Ben Stokes and Joe Root, and a great many more besides. Bumble will be promoting the book with articles and virtual events this autumn.
BRONTE’S MISTRESS by FINOLA AUSTIN (published August): An intriguing re-imaging of the scandalous affair between Branwell Brontë, and his married, and much older, employer, Mrs Lydia Robinson, mistress of Thorp Green Hall near York. Finola was born in Kent and brought up in Northern Ireland, and now lives and works in New York. She obtained a Masters degree in nineteenth-century literature at the University of Oxford and founded an award-winning blog, the Secret Victorianist, dedicated to the culture of that period. Finola is available to write articles and for interview.
HIDDEN by ANNABEL CHOWN (published September): At the age of 31 ANNABEL CHOWN was living the life of a young, single Londoner. A successful architect by day, she spent evenings partying with friends and worrying about finding a boyfriend. Then she found a lump in a breast, changing her world overnight. HIDDEN is her incredibly honest, raw account of the devastating impact of being diagnosed with cancer in your early 30s, the treatment she endured, and her life after cancer. Annabel lives in London and is available to write articles or for interview.
